Nothing for the Senator

In the scene from The Godfather II, Michael provide the Senator with a counteroffer for a gaming license. Michael’s allusion to all of them being part of “the same hypocrisy” is a powerful reference to Shadow and, act the end of the scene, the Senator greets Kate and his wife with the mask of Image comfortable back in place.
