This song just resonates with me in part because of the interview section at the beginning. Hendrix talks about how words and politics are getting hollow, how music and art are becoming more necessary to stay grounded in an “ego scene” of a world. Trump is one monolithic Ego. Moreover, there is something about the song and the way he plays the guitar that mysteriously echoes his interview. The music says what he says in words even better than the words, thus proving his statements to be true immediately after he says them. That sequence is so cool to me that I’m posting the song.
